Pullulate explores the idea of our world without humans: a post-apocalyptic setting where animals, creatures, and gods reside. Examining their interactions and the cleansing of our earth you will see the effects humans have had on our planet, and how gods will re-awaken and create new creatures to bring back order. Dark creatures will interact and help the wildlife around them, while Demi-gods will protect and regrow the earth’s wildlife.
Growing from the ground and hanging from the gallery walls and ceilings will be vines, trees, and grasses, depicting a thriving earth. My inspiration comes from other artists such as Martin Wittfooth, Bob Ross, video games and Japanese graphic novels. “Pullulate” depicts a world where we no longer exist; it is intended to invoke fear and inspire viewers to care more deeply for humanity and the world by developing habits that help and heal our environment.
